No state exam for general contracting. Electrical contractors take a statewide exam (fee up to $300). Since Senate File 114 (2024), cities and towns must recognize contractor licenses from other Wyoming localities where the license was obtained after passing International Code Council (ICC) exams.

Financial responsibility

Wyoming uses no bond or net worth requirement as its financial-responsibility mechanism. No statewide bond for general contracting; local jurisdictions set their own bonding rules.

Reciprocity and the NASCLA exam
